The National Payroll Institute’s PLP designation is the next step for PCP designation holders looking to enter a management position. The PLP designation builds on compliance knowledge and develops payroll management skills to prepare seasoned professionals to manage a payroll department.
Admission Requirements
- Students must be PCP designation holders.
- Minimum two years of weighted payroll experience.
What You’ll Learn
- Compensation and Benefits Administration: an understanding of the process, issues, and techniques involved in administering a compensation system.
- Cost Accounting: employ techniques such as job and process costing, general cost allocations, cost/volume/profit analysis, budgeting, and relevant costing.
- Finance & Accounting for Non-Accountants: an understanding of management and financial accounting, accounting reports and disclosure and the methodologies required to perform calculations as the basis for sound decision making.
- Introduction to Payroll Management: introduction to the most applicable core management subjects based on market research. The course provides the management content and tools required to be a successful manager, such as decision making and project management.
- Organizational Behaviour: acquire and learn to apply the knowledge and skills necessary to work successfully in any organization.
