Class C License

A Class C licence is needed to drive any bus with seats for more than 24 passengers (Coach Bus), but not a school-purposes bus carrying passengers. It allows the driver to operate vehicles included in classes D, F and G, but not motorcycles.

Friendly Truck Driving School’s Class C License includes ten Lessons in vehicle (45 minutes each) with a vehicle provided for one road test.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Meet medical and vision standards.
• Must have valid Ontario driver’s license “G” or higher.
• Not have accumulated more than 6 demerit points.
• Not have had a driver’s license under suspension at any time within the preceding 12 months as a result of being convicted of certain driving related and Criminal Code of Canada offenses.
• Effective January 1, 2017, MTO requires drivers who are applying for a Class B or E license to obtain a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters (CRJM) Check or equivalent.
