Nail Technician

The Nail Technician Program at George Brown College provides comprehensive training for individuals who want to build a professional career in nail care and esthetics. Students learn the fundamentals of manicures and pedicures while working with professional-grade products and tools. The program covers classic manicure and pedicure techniques and then builds toward more advanced services, including spa manicures and pedicures, gel polish applications, nail art trends, and various nail enhancement methods. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, students develop the technical skills and confidence needed to perform high-quality nail services.

Throughout the program, students gain practical experience by performing services on classmates, models, and clients in both classroom settings and the school spa environment. In addition to technical training, the curriculum includes career preparation, where students learn how to create a professional resumé and prepare for formal job interviews. The program emphasizes professionalism and real-world experience, requiring students to work collaboratively with peers and occasionally bring their own models for practical assessments. A mandatory dress code and professional manicure/pedicure kit ensure students train with the same standards and equipment used in the industry.
