In this micro-credential, students dive into the essentials of creating accessible designs for everyone. Whether the participant is working as a designer or in any other industry and are interested in making accessible content, this course is the perfect place to start. Learn the basics of the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and applying the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines across documents and multi-media experiences. From colour contrast and document structure to navigation and interactive elements, discover how small changes can make a big difference. The journey to accessible design starts here.
Upon successful completion of this micro-credential, the learner can apply the AODA and WCAG 2.1 principles to evaluate the accessibility of multi-format designs (including documents) using the appropriate industry terminology and techniques.
This micro-credential is self-paced and includes 5 hours of content review, in addition to approximately 10 hours of self-study. It will be monitored by a facilitator who is an expert in the field. Students will be required to complete the micro-credential within the term it is scheduled.

I recently took the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Digital Marketers and Communications program at Humber Polytechnic and found it really practical and easy to follow. It breaks down AI concepts in a way that actually makes sense for marketers, without getting overly technical.
I liked that we focused on real-world tools and use cases — from content creation to analytics — and how to apply AI strategically rather than just chasing trends. It’s a great starting point for anyone in marketing or communications who wants to understand how AI can fit into their day-to-day work.
