Humber’s Photography diploma program is one of the most esteemed and longest-running photographic training programs in the country. In this two-year diploma, students will develop a professional skillset and creative abilities, preparing them for careers in the visual communications industry.
Over four semesters, students will learn advanced photographic techniques that enable them to bring their visual ideas to life. The hands-on classes will help them develop additional skills in planning, production, and post-production. These competencies, combined with communication and networking skills, will provide students with a solid foundation for their future careers.
Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue a variety of visual imaging career options, including advertising photography, editorial work, wedding and portrait photography, motion capture, and e-commerce imaging.
Courses are designed with industry input, ensuring students are learning current and relevant information in state-of-the-art studios and labs from industry experts – people who know the trends and effective methods of visual communications.
Following a field placement in the final semester, the program culminates with a graduate portfolio show where students network with industry and introduce their skills with portfolios, video footage and large format prints.
