Humber Polytechnic’s Project Coordinator for Construction (PCC) micro-credential, delivered over 16 hours, prepares students for one of the construction industry’s most in-demand roles. Construction Project Coordinators play a critical role in keeping construction projects organized, on schedule, and on budget.
Developed in collaboration with Canadian construction leaders, this program develops the practical coordination and project administration skills needed to support Project Managers and Superintendents on complex construction projects.
Whether learners are entering the construction industry, transitioning into a project coordination role, or strengthening their project support expertise, this program provides the foundational knowledge and real-world techniques used by Project Coordinators on active construction sites.
Participants who complete the program earn five (5) Gold Seal credits, recognized by the Canadian Construction Association, helping advance their professional credibility and progress toward Gold Seal Certification.
Students learn through a combination of self-paced online learning and live interactive group simulations, working through realistic construction project scenarios that mirror the responsibilities of a Project Coordinator.
Guided by an experienced industry Subject Matter Expert, learners will develop practical techniques used on job sites every day, including managing Requests for Information (RFIs), coordinating trades, organizing materials and documentation, and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
What You’ll Learn
- Explain how bid documents evolve into legally binding contracts.
- Use construction drawings and specifications to verify materials and quality assurance during the duration of the project.
- Prioritize tasks during a page turn by identifying critical dependencies and subsequently scheduling effectively to avoid conflicts.
- Determine task dependencies to schedule stakeholder collaboration effectively and prioritize corrective actions to mitigate the impact of schedule delays on project timelines.
- Synthesize contract documents, specifications, and stakeholders into a cohesive scheduled project execution plan.

I recently took the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Digital Marketers and Communications program at Humber Polytechnic and found it really practical and easy to follow. It breaks down AI concepts in a way that actually makes sense for marketers, without getting overly technical.
I liked that we focused on real-world tools and use cases — from content creation to analytics — and how to apply AI strategically rather than just chasing trends. It’s a great starting point for anyone in marketing or communications who wants to understand how AI can fit into their day-to-day work.
