The Accelerated MBA at Ivey Business School is a 14-month program designed to achieve greater levels of success for professionals and their organization. It allows candidates to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are shared by the world’s most effective leaders.

Students will continue their career while earning an Ivey MBA with the Ivey Accelerated MBA for Business Graduates. It’s a powerful combination of online learning and in-class sessions that delivers a transformational education experience while allowing maximum flexibility for the demands of work, personal commitments and career.

The schedule starts in November where students begin with business fundamentals in preparation for the start of the program. In January, classes begin with a one-week residential session in London, Ontario. Throughout the rest of the program, students attend monthly sessions of three consecutive days of in-class sessions, Friday through Sunday, in downtown Toronto. Students can set their own pace, but plan for approximately 20 hours a week of study outside of the classroom hours. This includes completing online modules, case preparation, and other projects and assignments. In August participants take part in an international study trip with their cohort.

Admission Requirements

  • Business undergraduate degree with the following course work: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Operations, Strategy.
  • Two to ten years of full-time work experience – This ensures that all classmates will have experiences that equally contribute to team and class discussions, along with the context and maturity to apply this learning in a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential.
  • GMAT scores not required however, in some cases, a GMAT may be recommended to strengthen an application.

Best business school in Canada. The case method is very practical and helps tremendously when you're in the workforce. The professors I've had were all really good. There's a lot of support available for interview prep, applying to jobs etc. The alumni network and senior students are all incredibly helpful as well and it's truly a one of a kind experience when it comes to Ivey alumni. They helped me tremendously for interview prep and were available to me which is incredibly rare. The focus here is on learning rather than grades and by the end of the program, I was well equipped in technical and soft skills. For all prospective students, you won't regret going to Ivey.

Ivey is known for its case method approach, which means you’ll get less theory and more presenting and dissecting real business scenarios here. This is valuable because it will expose you to real issues and train you to make decisions, just like you ...

Ivey is known for its case method approach, which means you’ll get less theory and more presenting and dissecting real business scenarios here. This is valuable because it will expose you to real issues and train you to make decisions, just like you will in the business world. This is extended in case competitions held by Ivey with other schools. For soft skills, this is a great way to learn.
