Memorial University’s Master of Education (Reading Development and Instruction) is an online graduate program that focuses on grounded approaches to reading development, instruction, and assessment for a variety of learners.
This program focuses on structured literacy and deep engagement with reading research. Learners who are looking to transition into educational, community, or research settings can deepen their understanding of reading development for those in the classroom with some difficulty in reading.
Students will be able to choose from three route options for this program, including a comprehensive course route, a project, or a thesis, providing options for learners who will be able to tailor their education to their style of learning.
This is one of many programs offered by Memorial University for Masters of Education degrees.
Admission Requirements
- Undergraduate degree with an average of at least 70 per cent in the last 90 credit hours.

I’m really glad I chose the Engineering program at Memorial University of Newfoundland. It’s challenging but rewarding, with a great balance of theory and paid co-op work terms that give you real experience before you graduate.
The professors are knowledgeable, and there’s a strong community feel in labs and projects. It’s a respected, accredited program, and while it’s demanding, it’s absolutely worth it if you’re serious about becoming an engineer.
