AutoCAD Design

Mohawk College’s AutoCAD Design program offers specialized training in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preparing students for leadership roles in introducing CAD technology into their workplaces. As career opportunities in CAD continue to grow, this program teaches students to utilize current AutoCAD software to create both two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional models. Students will also learn to customize CAD environments to suit specific design needs, making them versatile and valuable assets to any design team.

By the end of the program, students will be proficient in advanced CAD techniques, including the use of AutoCAD, AutoDesk REVIT, SolidWorks, and AutoDesk Inventor. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in both introductory and advanced CAD tools, giving students the skills required to lead in industries that rely on computer-aided design for everything from architectural drafting to product development. Admission Requirements

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Drafting knowledge is strongly recommended.
• For those with no previous computer knowledge or knowledge of Windows, Generic Computer Training course should be taken before taking courses within this program.
