Mohawk College’s AutoCAD Design program offers specialized training in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preparing students for leadership roles in introducing CAD technology into their workplaces. As career opportunities in CAD continue to grow, this program teaches students to utilize current AutoCAD software to create both two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional models. Students will also learn to customize CAD environments to suit specific design needs, making them versatile and valuable assets to any design team.
By the end of the program, students will be proficient in advanced CAD techniques, including the use of AutoCAD, AutoDesk REVIT, SolidWorks, and AutoDesk Inventor. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in both introductory and advanced CAD tools, giving students the skills required to lead in industries that rely on computer-aided design for everything from architectural drafting to product development. Whether pursuing a career in fashion design, architecture, or other design-related fields, graduates will leave with the expertise necessary to create precise, detailed digital models and lead CAD initiatives in their future workplaces.

This is my second time attending this college, when I attended years ago it was a very different experience. The school held many events, frosh week was always a blast, the campus is massive, free gym membership on campus, and they have great selection of food, downside was parking was usually a nightmare. This year is a bit different, with classes online its a bit hectic, confusing and I knew it would be. In my course the professors are very supportive, the layout is making a bit more sense each day, the it department have been fantastic. One thing I will say is that it can be a bit difficult to get some answers from certain departments, but my course professors are doing a great job so far!
