Ontario Tech University’s Biomedical Science program provides an excellent basis for writing the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®) exam and for satisfying course requirements for applying to professional programs in medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.

Students interested in managerial and leadership roles, should consider applying for the five-year Bachelor of Science and Management (Honours) program in their upper years of study. Graduates gain a solid foundation in the key functional areas of business and management, including finance, accounting, operations, project management and marketing.

There is a wealth of opportunities for science graduates in industry, government and in areas of applied science. The combination of a science degree and business and management education will give an added advantage to graduates in establishing careers within these practical fields.

A five-year Co-operative Education option is available; it satisfies the guidelines of the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education. The program combines an Honours Bachelor of Science program with embedded work terms. The co-op option gives students opportunities to apply their classroom and lab concepts to real-world situations and help to gain valuable, relevant work experience to promote networking and lifelong career success.

I would probably avoid Oshawa, which is where you'll be if you study arts or social sciences. Hard core science happens on the main campus. I had a good experience with profs and classes, but I think friends at bigger older universities got more out of the student experience than I did. Tour the campus and speak to students, find them online or in the student database. Overall, having a good ride here.

Very excited to get a job offer before even graduating. Not an internship. Just straight to a great job in IT at a great scale up. The education, the profs and instructors, the students and student support were all top notch. This school is young but deserves a better reputation. I know this takes time, but I hope people consider Ontario Tech University as a promising startup and join the great people here.
