QC Pet Studies’ Professional Dog Grooming certification course is designed to prepare aspiring groomers for a successful and hands-on career working with dogs of all breeds and coat types. Through a comprehensive online curriculum, students learn everything from canine anatomy and behavior to bathing, brushing, clipping, and advanced styling techniques. Students receive step-by-step instruction through video tutorials, reading materials, and practical grooming assignments completed on real dogs, with personalized feedback provided by experienced professional groomers. A professional grooming tool kit is included to support hands-on learning and skill development from home. The course is structured into five key training areas, and students can choose between a fully online learning track or an externship option for real-world salon experience. Upon completion, graduates earn the International Dog Grooming Professional (IDGP) designation, demonstrating their readiness to deliver safe, high-quality grooming services and launch their careers in the pet care industry.

No previous experience is required to enroll in QC Pet Studies’ Dog Grooming course, as it is designed to be beginner-friendly and teaches everything from foundational grooming skills to advanced styling techniques. Students develop practical, industry-relevant knowledge and confidence to pursue a career in a grooming salon or start their own business after graduation. With flexible, self-paced learning, most students can complete their training in under six months, while having up to a full year to finish the program if needed.
