Payroll Administrators focus primarily on managing employee pay and benefits. They are responsible for maintaining employee records, such as attendance and overtime, and using this information to calculate pay and benefit entitlements. Additionally, they prepare and verify earnings statements and offer guidance to employees regarding payroll matters, benefit plans, and collective agreement terms. In Sprott Shaw College’s Business Administration – Payroll program, students are trained in these essential tasks and are equipped with the skills necessary to manage payroll functions effectively.

Admission Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • English language proficiency.
  • One year of clerical experience (letter from an employer) OR graduation from a recognized clerical program (certificate / diploma).
