The Community Services Worker program at triOS College is designed to prepare learners for meaningful roles supporting individuals, families, and diverse communities. Through a comprehensive 38-week curriculum, students develop the skills needed to assist clients in navigating personal, social, and systemic challenges while promoting their overall well-being. Coursework covers key areas such as counselling, case management, crisis intervention, family support, sociology, and mental health awareness, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to contribute effectively within community agencies and support programs.
In addition to classroom learning, students strengthen their professional readiness through training in communication, ethics, documentation, and self-care—skills essential for long-term success in the field. Graduates earn industry-recognized credentials such as Verbal Intervention, Trauma and Violence Informed Care, Naloxone Administration, AODA, Standard First Aid/CPR/WHMIS, and more, ensuring they meet employer expectations and are prepared to make a positive, lasting impact in their communities.
The program also includes field-related certifications and an 8-week internship option that provides valuable real-world experience in a community services environment.
