triOS College’s Legal Assistant program offers a career-focused pathway for individuals looking to support lawyers and legal teams in a dynamic professional environment. The program combines practical training in essential legal procedures with instruction in Microsoft Office, digital literacy, workplace competencies, and career planning. Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard legal software, including PCLaw, Automated Civil Litigation (ACL3), Teraview, Conveyancer, Fast Company, Divorcemate, and Estate-A-Base, ensuring they are well-prepared for the technical demands of modern legal work.
Throughout the program, learners develop the skills needed to assist lawyers effectively by conducting research, drafting deeds, wills, affidavits, and briefs, managing case files and databases, and investigating facts relevant to cases. Courses covering Family Law, Legal Research and Writing, Debtor/Creditor Law, and Real Estate Law provide a comprehensive legal foundation, equipping graduates with the knowledge and practical experience required to thrive as legal assistants in law firms, corporate legal departments, and other professional settings.
