The Medical Office Administration program at triOS College is designed to prepare learners for the fast-paced and growing world of Canadian healthcare. Through a blend of hands-on administrative and clinical training, EMR simulations, and a comprehensive internship, students gain the practical skills needed to support doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams effectively. The curriculum covers medical terminology, anatomy, hospital and clinical procedures, billing, record management, and professional communication—ensuring graduates are ready to thrive in medical offices, clinics, and hospital settings.
Developed in consultation with healthcare professionals, this diploma program equips students with strong administrative competence and the confidence to perform in real healthcare environments. Graduates are eligible to pursue the nationally recognized Health Information–Certified Associate (HICA) designation through CHIMA, enhancing their professional credentials and opening opportunities for further study in Health Information Management. With flexible online learning options and an optional internship, the program provides both accessibility and meaningful workplace experience, helping students build a stable and rewarding career in medical administration.
Students can choose from instructor-led classes on a set schedule, held remotely live, or learn independently through structured‑yet‑adaptable schedule with a set weekly pace and the support of facilitators.
An 8-week internship option is available.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.

- Master medical terminology, anatomy, clinical procedures, and the foundations of healthcare office operations.
- Develop strong administrative skills, including medical billing, EMR usage, appointment management, and digital record handling.
- Gain practical experience through EMR simulations, hands-on exercises, and an 8-week (200-hour) internship in real healthcare settings.
