The University of British Columbia’s Educational Administration and Leadership program is designed for those who want to flex their leadership muscles in a variety of education settings. Potential students who are already working as an educator will leave after graduation better prepared to be a leader in the school system as educators, administrators, and facilitators.
For more than 40 years, students in UBC’s Educational Administration and Leadership program have been working to better understand management, organizational structures, policy, media, and Indigenous relations and how each of those impacts learners in the classroom. Graduates will leave with the knowledge, skills, and understanding that will aid them in fostering young minds while promoting the values of a civil, democratic, multicultural, sustainable society.
Admission Requirements
- Four year Bachelor of Education Degree, or equivalent.
- Overall average of B+.
- Two years teaching experience with young children.
What You’ll Learn
- Concepts surrounding law, society, and media that impact students.
- A variety of teaching techniques from around the world including Asia and the Pacific.
- Leadership techniques that will aid in classroom management.
