Diverse class and great teachers with industry experience who are in your corner and want you to succeed! I took the fundamentals and advanced certificates which are six months each. There's a new short intensive program. It's more expensive, I think $15,000, but I would recommend that if you want to qualify for global certifications ICS2, CISSP, etc.

This is money-grab for university. Totally unacceptable to make students pay $9600 for crappy and poor program coming from a recognized Canadian university.

I took the program in Jan and this is the worst program I ever took. Out of five instructors, only one truly provided a good teacher (1020, 1040). The rest are very poor instructors that are mainly just slide readers and give template assignments. They will dump you with lots of languages/database/concepts (as per marketing) but never truly explain and make you understand enough to execute and some tools are not even industry standards. The course doesn't enable you to be a junior developer, more like template filler for coding and copy pasting from stack flow or other resources. The database instructor didn't even review my finals and graded me as he didn't even accept my git invite. The capstone is a joke - it isn't real life, when companies themselves are start ups who doesn't know what they are doing.

Overall, the course is poorly executed and doesn't enable future developers. Mostly, you google or youtube and try to do it yourself. The slides are useless. It is copy pasting from W3 school. they did reference it though..

Their expectations is that they give you 8 hours of class, and expect you to self-learn for the entire program.

Lastly, this unethical of university and program manager, where students coming from different backgrounds are hoping to get real learning and training to equip them for jobs and ensure they are able to start new job and career. The stamp of certification on LinkedIn may get some traction, the student when hired will not be able to deliver and perform.
