York University’s Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting is a CPA Ontario accredited program designed for students who want to get a head start in earning their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

The program is designed to put students on the path for academic and professional success. Students will be sharing the classroom with other highly motivated peers and can develop a vibrant learning community. Full-time and part-time professors will use the case method in all the courses, providing students with the opportunity to prepare for both the CFE and to develop the enabling competencies required of a professional accountant.  Class sizes are capped at 25 students, which means students will benefit from individual attention and continuous feedback in each course. Outside of the classroom, workshops and networking events will be offered to help students further prepare for their professional career.

York’s Engineering program was a solid, hands-on experience that really pushed me to learn by doing. Instead of just focusing on exams, a lot of the learning came from projects where we had to figure things out, debug our own mistakes, and make designs actually work. I picked up practical skills like coding, breaking down complex systems, and explaining technical ideas clearly to teammates. By the end of the program, I felt much more comfortable tackling new problems and learning on the fly, which has been one of the most useful outcomes after graduating.

I found York's Engineering program challenging but practical in a good way. I learned core skills like programming, circuit analysis, and system design, and got to apply them through hands-on labs and group projects. Working on design assignments and team-based projects helped me build real problem-solving skills and confidence that carried over into the workplace.
