Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology

Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology is an online, practice-based graduate program that prepares students for professional counselling and psychotherapy.

As Canada’s leading online counsellor education program, it is designed to be completed in as few as 2.5 years and integrates counselling theory, assessment, professional ethics, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches through online coursework and synchronous clinical skill development.

Students also complete a 400-hour, 30-week supervised practicum supported by two sequential instructor-led courses in their own communities or remotely, while progressing toward provincially and nationally recognized pathways to professional practice.

Admission Requirements

• Completed online application and $150 application fee.
• Official undergraduate transcript and proof of a bachelor’s degree.
• Resume and statement of interest.
• Two academic or professional references.
• Completed one year (150 hours) or equivalent paid and/or volunteer experience.
• Proof of English language proficiency for degrees completed in a language other than English.
