Multidisciplinary and innovative, the Photography major provides students with both knowledge and hands-on skills in a range of analog and digital processes. Through courses in art history, research, and critical studies, students will explore the work of historical and contemporary photographers and artists.
In both classroom and studio settings, students will have the opportunity to investigate how photography intersects with other mediums, including installation, video, performance, printmaking, and directorial work.
Students will approach photography as an object from various perspectives and work in diverse environments. They will learn from renowned professional photographers, refine their photography skills, and develop their own unique relationship with the art form.
Both conceptual and hands-on learning will be enhanced through classes, seminars, self-directed projects, exhibitions, and professional development opportunities.
