Hair Art Design

JCI Institute’s six-month, hands-on Hair Art Design program is broken down into twenty hours per week, with the option of morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend classes. For students currently working, the flexible class times make retraining for a new career more doable than ever.

A stylist’s workspace should inspire them — JCI’s teaching salon is no exception. Located in Gastown, the salon occupies a 1,200 square foot loft-style space, putting stylists at the center of Vancouver’s creative and cultural hub. The school is run exactly like a top salon, so students learn how to provide clients with a professional salon experience.

JCI Institute’s teachers are top-working professionals, and the guest instructors are dialed into industry trends. They help their students to build strong foundations in cutting, colouring and styling so that upon graduation, students have the skills and confidence to start working immediately.

• Family and friends.
• Practice makes perfect/client work: theory, cutting, colouring, and styling.
• Bellami Professional Master Certification.
• Work experience: students complete 20 hours of work experience in a salon of their choice.
• Inside the Industry: social media, bridal, textured braiding/style, and session styling.
