The UBC-SMEI Diploma in Marketing & Sales Management is a three-year, part-time program aimed at today’s leaders in marketing and sales management.
The program is designed and taught by Sauder’s award-winning marketing faculty and is focused on providing sales and marketing professionals with the skills and best practices to perform at the highest level in their organizations. The curriculum is applied, hands-on, and industry relevant.
Graduates of the program receive the UBC Diploma in Marketing and Sales Management as well as the Certified Marketing Executive® (CME®) professional designation from Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI).

My first year at UBC Sauder was a unique and eye-opening experience. The school attracts highly driven students who are ambitious and goal-oriented, which creates a fast-paced and focused academic environment. There’s a strong culture of professionalism—people often dress in business casual, which really sets the tone for preparing students for the corporate world.
What stood out most to me were the professors. Sauder has some truly outstanding first-year faculty who are passionate about teaching and committed to creating a more inclusive and thoughtful learning environment. I especially appreciated how classes focused not just on content, but on teaching us how to think differently and spot opportunities in the business world.
