Niagara College’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is ideal for students who have a passion for education and the importance of fostering development in the early years. Early Childhood Educators support early learning in a wide variety of educational programs and centres.
The program offers over 600 hours of hands-on field placement experience combined with coursework, providing students with valuable practical skills. Graduates have the opportunity to earn three additional certificates: Hanen Learning Language and Loving It, Quality Child Care Niagara, and the Red Cross Anti-Bullying Certificate. With diverse employment opportunities available, graduates can pursue careers in school boards or licensed early year environments. The program also meets the registration requirements for the College of Early Childhood Educators. Additionally, there is an international field placement partnership in Thailand, offering a global perspective, and a dual admission agreement with Niagara University for those wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts.
