Class D

Toronto Truck Driving School offers a comprehensive Class D (DZ) training program that prepares individuals to operate straight or articulated trucks for the transportation of goods and materials. This course equips students with the skills necessary to ensure cargo safety and security, while also emphasizing the importance of communication with dispatchers for efficient coordination. With a focus on both practical and theoretical components, students will learn essential skills such as pre-trip inspections, air brake operations, defensive driving techniques, and route planning. The program also covers cargo and load security, legal and regulatory requirements in both Canada and the U.S., highway driving, turning, backing, shifting, and emergency procedures.

Graduates of this program are well-prepared for a stable and financially secure career in the commercial driving industry.

Admission Requirements

• Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ License or higher.
• Knowledge verification of Rules of the Road and Signs. Handbook and materials provided to help in passing the knowledge tests.
• MTO approved Medical Form completed.
