Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Systems Engineering (International Students) only accepts applications from International Students.
The Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Systems Engineering (MSE) program offers a dynamic pathway to a career across various industries, including environmental control, renewable energy, robotics, and manufacturing. Accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), the program prepares students for professional engineering careers through mandatory work experience and a professional practice exam.
Students explore mechanical, industrial, and control engineering, learning to design complex, computer-controlled mechanical systems, such as automated manufacturing systems with mechanical components, actuators, sensors, and robots. A project-based approach builds technical and business skills, focusing on real-world problem-solving, project management, and environmental protection.
The program includes twelve months of paid co-op opportunities, providing valuable industry experience. After two years, students can choose to specialize in Joining or Welding, gaining interdisciplinary knowledge in welding processes, engineering metallurgy, metal additive manufacturing, and robotics. This major, coupled with hands-on learning in advanced labs, prepares graduates for roles in welding and joining, with the opportunity to pursue an International Welding Engineer qualification.
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.
- For students with transcripts from outside of Canada, a comprehensive course-by-course credential evaluation is required.
