Georgian College’s Honours Bachelor of Counselling Psychology program is designed for the student who has a desire to better understand human behaviour, and to use that to benefit others’ mental health.

Learners will be exposed to several counselling and psychotherapy approaches, plus get a solid foundation in psychology research and theory. From there, students will work in a practicum and work term, where they will get to experience first hand what it takes to work in an environment with others who are processing trauma. Georgian’s curriculum was intentionally designed for students to foster an understanding of the sociocultural factors that go into trauma, and how to best approach them in an ethical, evidence based method – plus research methods and psychological theories that inform counselling practices.

Do not waste your money coming to this institution. The teachers are rude, incopetent and racist towards some students. You'll do better as a self learner with online free courses, books and AI to generate problems and tests. In the end there's less stress and the material absorption is much better too! This school is a write off and a waste of tax payer's money. It should be closed permanently!
