Students in Concordia’s Civil Engineering (BEng) degree immerse themselves in a hands-on, technically rigorous education where theory meets real-world application. In modern labs dedicated to water management, soil mechanics, and surveying, learners operate industry-standard tools and techniques.
Students will learn how to plan and execute the construction of complex infrastructure—ranging from buildings and bridges to dams and tunnels—while also developing strategies to manage water resources, transportation systems, and waste disposal. Through their coursework and projects, students gain the skills to conduct environmental impact assessments and support urban planning initiatives across diverse contexts.
In their third year, learners can choose to personalize their studies through one of three specialization options—Civil Infrastructure, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Engineering and Management—allowing them to deepen their expertise in foundation and superstructure design, water and waste system processes, or project execution and cost-conscious construction.
