Practical Nurse

New Brunswick Community College’s Practical Nursing program prepares students to provide high-quality, patient-centered care as integral members of the healthcare team. The program covers a broad range of nursing practice areas, including medicine, surgery, geriatrics, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, and community nursing. Students gain essential knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and ethical and legal aspects of nursing, while developing skills in clinical assessment, critical thinking, and professional communication.

Hands-on learning is a central part of the program, with laboratory practice and clinical practicums providing real-world experience caring for patients across the lifespan.
