Police Foundations

Eastern College’s Police Foundations program prepares students for entry-level careers in policing, security, and related justice fields at a time when demand for qualified professionals continues to grow across Canada. Delivered through online remote learning in New Brunswick with campus support available in Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John, the program provides a strong foundation in police theory, law, and professional practice, including the Canadian Charter, Criminal Code, police powers, and community policing principles.

Through a balanced mix of theoretical instruction and practical training, students develop essential skills such as interviewing and interrogation, conflict and crisis management, courtroom procedures, and officer safety. Guided by instructors with real policing experience, students also receive industry-standard certifications and career preparation support, helping them build the confidence, fitness, and professionalism needed to pursue meaningful roles in policing and security.

Courses are offered through online remote learning in New Brunswick, with campus support in Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John for additional guidance.

A 4-week internship option is available.
