Medical & Dental Office Administrator

Edison College Canada’s Medical & Dental Office Administrator Certificate prepares students for front-line administrative roles in a variety of healthcare settings. The program combines medical and dental office administration with training in healthcare terminology, billing, insurance claims, bookkeeping, medical transcription, and professional communication. Students also develop a foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate documentation and effective patient service.

Through coursework in computer applications, electronic health records, laboratory mathematics, phlebotomy, hematology, and microbiology basics, students gain versatile skills for supporting both administrative and clinical office operations. The program emphasizes professionalism, ethics, and patient coordination, preparing graduates to pursue opportunities in medical offices, dental clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

Admission Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years or older prior to starting the program).
• Meet one of the following English Language Proficiency requirements: minimum Grade 10 English (Domestic Students) or overall IELTS 5.5, CLB Level 5, or Duolingo score of 95.
