In Alternative Medicine College of Canada’s Metabolism and Nutrition course, students will learn how the digestive function is so important. Students will learn how it transforms the foods we consume into elements capable of crossing barriers to pass into the internal environment and thus contribute to the metabolism and functioning of the body. Understanding these mechanisms will be the first objective. The second objective naturally aims to explain and understand diseases, digestive imbalances, and their consequences on the metabolic level. Third, students will learn the warning signs of these imbalances, such as oxidative stress, acid-base balance, free radicals, silent inflammation which represent effective methods of disease prevention and ways to maintain good health.
Students will also explore links with Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and auriculomedicine.
