About
Alternative Medicine College of Canada
The Collège des Médecines Douces du Québec was established in Montreal in 1988. The goal of the college was to give a quality education in alternative medicine that would foster a dialog between alternative and conventional medicine. AMCC quickly realized that distance learning would be a great asset to its students. Alternative Medicine College of Canada has both French and English-speaking students, supervised by a team to support them. Students from around the world can earn certificates, diplomas, or complete professional development courses.
Traditional Western medicine and Alternative Medicine are based on different premises: in the first case, illness exists in the physical body, therefore only the physical is relevant. In the second case, alternative medicine sees the patient. At Alternative Medicine College of Canada, students use all four dimensions of the being – physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional – to guide treatment.
