Included in the Canadian Aviation Academy’s Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) program, pilots will acquire two hundred hours of flight time in airplanes, of which a minimum of one hundred hours shall be pilot-in-command time.

A CPL applicant must attend a minimum of eighty hours of approved ground school. This course consists of a series of lectures aimed at fully preparing the student for not only the required Transport Canada examinations but also a safe and satisfying time in the world of aviation. The subjects dealt with in the ground school include Air Law, Aeronautics, Navigation, Meteorology, etc. Individual instruction will be given as required. A home study course is also available with individual tutoring.

Before graduation, learners will complete a Commercial Pilot flight test to Transport Canada standards.
