In today’s digital world, accessibility is essential for user-centered design. The Accessible Canada Act plays a crucial role in ensuring inclusivity for individuals with disabilities. In this Accessibility for Digital Designers program, students will explore accessibility principles, guidelines, and best practices tailored to designers working specifically with online mediums.
Led by industry experts well-versed in accessibility and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance, this program offers a dynamic learning experience that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students will delve into topics such as accessible design patterns, assistive technologies, and WCAG compliance. Learners will acquire the skills to assess and overcome common accessibility barriers, ensuring designs not only cater to individuals with disabilities but also align with AODA web standards.
Note: Students pursuing a Certificate of Completion in Accessibility for Digital Designers must successfully complete all 3 courses (8 hours total) within a two-semester period.
