Immersed in a dynamic and challenging learning environment, students develop the skills required to perform the duties of a firefighter. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on training, students gain knowledge in fire dynamics, building construction, fire suppression principles, personal protective equipment, emergency medical response, and fire prevention and public education.
Students also explore theoretical concepts and safety considerations in technical rescue disciplines, including confined space rescue, water and ice rescue, rope rescue, and trench rescue.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Grade 12 English, college or university.
- Grade 12 Math, college or university.
- Grade 11 or 12 Biology or Chemistry.
