The Fundamentals of Mortgage Brokerage is the first of two mandatory pre-licensing courses required by Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), the regulatory body in Alberta. By the end of this introductory course, learners will be familiar with key terminology and understand core industry concepts, from credit analysis to commercial vs. residential mortgages, marketing basics, and beyond.
Students can start anytime and move through the course material at their own pace so that they can feel confident and prepared for the required post-course exam. Participants have six months to complete this course, including AMBA’s final exam. Following successful completion of the final exam, graduates have three months to complete RECA’s pre-licensing exam.
