The Certificate in .NET Application Development at the University of Calgary provides a practical, industry-focused introduction to building desktop and web applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework. The program centers on C#, the most widely used language within the .NET environment, and leverages Visual Studio and the extensive .NET class library to create robust software solutions. Students develop a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts while learning how multiple programming languages and frameworks integrate within the Windows and web application ecosystem.
With an emphasis on modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, the program equips learners with transferable problem-solving and troubleshooting skills applicable across programming environments. Through hands-on projects, students design and build desktop interfaces and web applications using technologies such as ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and database connectivity tools. Suitable for both beginners and experienced developers updating their skills, the program prepares graduates for roles in back-end web development, application development, and continued growth within the .NET technology stack.

Thoroughly enjoyed studying MSc. Electrical Engineering here. It lasted 3.5 years. The program could take longer than expected as it is totally upto the Professor to decide as to when you are ready for thesis defence.
I have done two Masters degrees here, one completely by accident and am currently in a PhD. That one is intentional.
