Prepare for an adrenaline-fueled career with the nationally recognized firefighter training program, designed to put students on the front lines of municipal and industrial firefighting. The curriculum exceeds National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 standards and is certified by the Canadian Armed Forces, allowing graduates to apply portions of their education toward a military career.
Training takes place at Canada’s most advanced Emergency Training Centre (ETC), where students gain hands-on experience in realistic, high-intensity scenarios. From fire suppression to emergency response strategies, this program equips students with the confidence and expertise to excel in the field.
One platoon of this program is available every year via blended delivery. Participants do theory online and come to the training field for the hands-on component.
