The University of Alberta’s FastTrack MBA for Business Graduates is designed for individuals who already possess a solid foundation in business knowledge and seek to enhance their leadership abilities. Instead of revisiting basic business principles, the program emphasizes advanced management topics necessary for career advancement. Students are fully integrated into senior Alberta MBA elective courses, ensuring they are exposed to a rigorous and high-level curriculum.
The FastTrack MBA can be completed in just 10 months on a full-time basis or 22 months on a part-time basis. Full-time students begin the program with a one-week intensive course in mid-August, after which they join current MBA students to complete the remaining coursework. Part-time students starting in January must also attend the one-week intensive course in August before beginning their studies.
For electives, students have the flexibility to design their own customized program or opt to fulfill the requirements for one of the UAlberta MBA Career Tracks. These include Energy Finance, Operations and Business Analytics, Strategy and Consulting, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Public Sector and Healthcare.
