University of New Brunswick’s four-year Bachelor of Nursing program prepares you to meet the current and future population healthcare needs in New Brunswick and beyond.
Undergraduate students have hands-on clinical experience in their first year of study. They graduate with the advantage of more clinical time, practice and one-on-one attention from their supervisor thanks to a 12-week practicum in the final year of study.
The curriculum focuses on primary healthcare, social justice and caring as core values. They emphasize the caring practice of nursing because they know that the human side of the profession is just as important as the technical side.
UNB also has a program with Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning in Toronto. The UNB-Humber Bachelor of Nursing program has two options of study: a four-year Bachelor of Nursing and a two and a half year Bachelor of Nursing second entry preparation. Students are admitted to study at Humber College’s north campus and upon successful completion of the program they are awarded a Bachelor of Nursing from UNB.
Students have the support they need to become leaders in the field with small class sizes, welcoming faculty and a 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio for most clinical courses. UNB nursing graduates are in high demand, with varied and exciting careers throughout North America and globally.
