The Accounting Technician program at Eastern College is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to build a career in finance. Students gain practical, hands-on experience using industry-standard software such as QuickBooks, Sage 50, and Microsoft Office to manage transactions, process payroll, analyze financial data, and support business operations across a variety of industries. The program combines technical training with professional development, covering areas such as tax preparation, financial planning, business communications, client relations, and workplace diversity. Learning culminates in a 200-hour internship, providing real-world experience, industry connections, and applied skills that make graduates job-ready. With ongoing career support, including resume guidance and job search coaching, students leave the program equipped to pursue roles in accounting, administration, and finance with confidence.
