Private Pilot Licence

The Brantford Flight Centre offers flexible flight training programs designed for individuals who want to learn to fly for personal enjoyment or progress at their own pace toward certification. The Private Pilot License (PPL) program provides a structured pathway that combines in-flight training with theoretical instruction, allowing students to gradually build the skills and confidence required to operate an aircraft safely and independently.

To obtain a PPL, students must meet several key requirements, including being at least 14 years old to apply for a Student Permit and 17 years old to hold the licence. They must demonstrate proficiency in English, pass a Category 3 medical examination, and complete a minimum of 45 hours of flight training along with at least 40 hours of ground school. In addition, students are required to successfully pass both a flight test and the Transport Canada PPL written examination to achieve certification.

The scheduling and length of training is based on availability and subject to change. Cost of program varies and listed price to be used as a suggested fee.
