Mohawk College’s Brain Disorders Management program prepares professionals to support individuals with neurological conditions through advanced, research-informed strategies. Delivered in an executive-format with flexible evening classes both in-person and online, the program combines immersive, full-time on-site field placements with experiential learning opportunities. Students gain hands-on exposure to professional practice while engaging with a curriculum shaped by best practices, current research, and strong community and industry partnerships across healthcare, rehabilitation, social services, education, research, and recreation.
The program emphasizes client-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge translation to real-world settings. Students learn to assess treatments, design and implement care plans, and provide culturally relevant interventions for individuals with brain disorders. Through simulation exercises, advocacy training, and applied research, graduates develop the skills needed to educate clients and communities, support cognitive and physical rehabilitation, and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams in diverse professional environments.
