Construction Techniques (International Students) only accepts applications from International Students.
The Construction Techniques program at Mohawk College prepares students to work effectively as part of a team in the construction of residential homes, commercial buildings, and civil infrastructure projects. The program emphasizes developing hands-on technical skills related to the construction industry, with a focus on concrete forming, production framing, and carpentry. Students will receive specialized training in using hand and power tools, understanding construction materials, and ensuring workplace safety.
Through practical experiences and industry-leading techniques, students will gain expertise in concrete forming and finishing, as well as in residential plan reading and production framing. The curriculum also covers essential construction trade calculations, surveying, and layout techniques. Students will engage in both classroom learning and real-world applications, preparing them to enter the booming home and commercial construction sectors with the skills needed to succeed.
By the end of the program, graduates will be well-equipped to contribute to a wide range of construction projects, having mastered the technical skills required to perform in a variety of specialized roles within the industry.
