The Bachelor of Nursing Science program at Queen’s University is a four-year, full-time program. The program offers hands-on practical experience in a variety of responsive clinical settings, producing experienced, confident nurses. Graduates of this program receive a Bachelor of Nursing degree, and after passing their professional certification exam, are designated as Registered Nurses.

The school’s philosophy is that exemplary nursing practice is built upon the foundational blocks of the sciences and arts.

This four-year program offers practice nursing skills taught each year in the School of Nursing Simulation Lab and GSK Clinical Education Centre. Over years two, three and four students will complete clinical practice in children’s, maternity, mental health, hospitalized patients, and community.  Settings include hospitals, public health, clinics and community agencies (such as schools, flu clinics, Alzheimer agencies).

What stands out most to me is how much it pushed me outside my comfort zone. The program is demanding and very hands-on, with lots of labs, design work, and team projects that feel close to real industry experience. It’s not easy, but it forces you to grow quickly—both technically and personally. By the time I finished, I felt confident tackling complex problems and stepping straight into the workforce.

Queen's University’s Bachelor of Computing program is pretty solid overall. The courses cover the core stuff like algorithms, data structures, and software design, but you also get flexibility to explore areas like AI or game dev. It can get intense around midterms and finals, but the profs are approachable and there’s a good sense of community. If you’re into tech and willing to put in the work, it’s a great place to build your skills.
