The Royal Military College of Canada’s Bachelor of Engineering program offers learners strong technical foundations in math, physics, and more in a full accreditation program. Learners will study not only engineering, but also the language and physical requirements that are part of the RMC’s four pillar degree system.

Outside of lectures, students will get hands on experience in laboratories and field settings as they study structural, environmental, and traffic engineering among other systems such as soil mechanics and pavement materials. Learners will get to use load testing frames, GPS and surveying gear, electronic optical surveying gear, and parallax measurement equipment.

Electives in later years allow students to specialize or broaden their knowledge in civil engineering into hydraulic structures, transportation planning, and military engineering.

RMC provides a realistic and highly cost effective (for students) education. Military discipline is important and serves alumni extremely well for life. That being said it is not for everyone. In terms of cost, there is no other University in Canada that provides an education while paying it’s attendees (though the Military will do this for students studying at civilian universities). The cost of universities continues to rise across Canada which widens the cost-benefit educational gap between them and RMC. This institution is an excellent one to be a part of, though, there is a considerable confusion between military, academic and school priorities. Students who are up for the challenge should make every attempt to attend.
