This recently updated program provides the fundamentals of fire fighting for students looking for work in the future of the industry. The course provides the knowledge, practical skills, and professional development that is demanded from current fire fighters, and will aid in building the foundation for career progression within the world of fire fighting.
Students will learn through simulations, with focus inter-professional collaboration to best understand how fire services are reliant on team work. Students will also develop critical thinking, situational performance skills, and life long best practices that will keep them ready for anything the high-pressure and high-demand world of fire fighting can throw at them.
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Grade 12 English, college or university, or equivalent.
- Grade 12 Math, college or university, or equivalent.
- One of: Grade 11 or 12 science including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Exercise Science, or equivalent.
