Business – Insurance Diploma

Fanshawe College’s Business – Insurance diploma program is a full-time, two-year Ontario College Diploma designed to prepare students for careers in the property and casualty insurance industry. The program offers a co-op option, giving students practical, hands-on experience in the industry.

Students have the opportunity to complete seven of ten credits toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation offered by the Insurance Institute of Canada.

Graduates are equipped to pursue various entry-level to junior-level positions, including roles such as customer service representative, underwriter, claims adjuster, loss control specialist, risk manager, appraiser, broker, or agent.

Admission Requirements

• Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
• Consideration as a mature applicant with: English at the Grade 12 level (C or U), Math at the Grade 11 level (C, U, or M with a minimum of 60%), or Math at the Grade 12 level (C or U).
• Applicants who don’t meet these requirements are encouraged to pursue academic upgrading.
