The Ivey Business School Ivey Leadership Program is designed for rising leaders making the transition from managing teams to leading within complex organizations. It helps participants broaden their perspective from day-to-day execution to a more strategic, organization-wide view, while strengthening the interpersonal and leadership capabilities needed to drive long-term impact. Through a focus on self-awareness and leadership development, the program supports professionals in refining their personal leadership style and building the confidence to guide teams through change and uncertainty.

Participants develop practical leadership skills through experiential learning, self- and peer-assessment, and real-world simulations. The program emphasizes leading individuals and teams for high performance, strengthening strategic thinking, and practicing interpersonal leadership in challenging situations. Learners build capabilities in performance management, talent development, influence, negotiation, and change leadership, while also learning to communicate vision, inspire commitment, and create alignment across teams. By the end of the program, participants are better equipped to lead with clarity, authenticity, and a strong sense of direction in their organizations.

The Ivey Leadership Program is ideal for mid-to senior-level established leaders with experience managing teams and direct reports. Participants commonly include individuals in Senior Manager, VP, and Director roles.

What You’ll Learn

  • Strengthen strategic thinking to set direction and drive organizational success.
  • Build influence, communication, and negotiation skills to lead and inspire others.

Best business school in Canada. The case method is very practical and helps tremendously when you're in the workforce. The professors I've had were all really good. There's a lot of support available for interview prep, applying to jobs etc. The alumni network and senior students are all incredibly helpful as well and it's truly a one of a kind experience when it comes to Ivey alumni. They helped me tremendously for interview prep and were available to me which is incredibly rare. The focus here is on learning rather than grades and by the end of the program, I was well equipped in technical and soft skills. For all prospective students, you won't regret going to Ivey.

Ivey is known for its case method approach, which means you’ll get less theory and more presenting and dissecting real business scenarios here. This is valuable because it will expose you to real issues and train you to make decisions, just like you will in the business world. This is extended in case competitions held by Ivey with other schools. For soft skills, this is a great way to learn.
