The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program at McGill University prepares experienced professionals to lead complex process improvement initiatives and drive breakthrough organizational change. Designed for individuals who have already completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, the program develops advanced capabilities in project management, change management, and team leadership. Participants build a deeper understanding of process optimization, data analysis, and customer-focused improvement strategies while strengthening their ability to guide teams through challenging improvement initiatives.
Through a hands-on learning approach, participants apply Black Belt principles in real time by working through an improvement project from definition to implementation. The program includes 9.5 days of training along with dedicated coaching on each participant’s individual project, enabling learners to translate concepts into measurable results within their organizations. By the end of the program, participants are equipped to lead multifunctional improvement projects, analyze data to support strategic decisions, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance performance and customer value.
What You’ll Learn
- Lead complex, cross-functional process improvement and process design projects using Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies.
- Apply structured project roadmaps that integrate change management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Analyze data and identify key process factors that influence customer needs and organizational performance.
- Drive breakthrough improvements and successfully implement solutions, even in environments with resistance to change.
